Ticketer is delighted to announce that long-standing customer Houston’s Coaches is upgrading its on-bus TK200 devices to the latest Ticketer TK300, which will operate alongside its existing Ticketer Handhelds.
As part of a wider plan to modernise its full estate of TK200s during a significant period of growth, Houston’s has begun the rollout and will install 49 new TK300 driver consoles across its fleet over the next 12 months.
Industry-Leading Technology to Support a New Era of Growth
The upgrade arrives at a crucial time for Houston’s Coaches, who have entered a significant phase of expansion and required technology capable of powering that growth.
Following a major operator’s withdrawal from the region, Houston’s secured a substantial number of new routes through a competitive tender process. This rapid growth has seen Houston’s double in size, open a new depot, hire additional staff, and invest in a larger fleet.
To operate efficiently at this new scale, Houston’s needed a ticketing platform with the speed, resilience, and advanced capabilities required for modern, data-driven operations. The TK300 was selected as the solution best equipped to support this next chapter.
High-Performance TK300 Trial Proves Transformational
After trialling a TK300 device in live service, Houston’s Coaches were impressed by its:

- Reliability
- A highly intuitive, driver-friendly interface
- Enhanced operational visibility and data accuracy
The trial demonstrated that the TK300 could deliver the power and stability required for their expanding network. As a result, Houston’s has committed to a phased rollout of the TK300, replacing all TK200 within a 12-month period.
