Ticketer is delighted to announce the renewal of its longstanding partnership with Norfolk-based operator Lynx Bus, who will also be progressing a full fleet upgrade to the Ticketer TK300 driver console and Tap Off Readers (TOR).

The upgrade will enhance Lynx’s operational capabilities while unlocking Tap On / Tap Off (TOTO) travel for passengers across the region, removing barriers to travel and enabling a more seamless passenger experience upon rollout.

Future growth, built upon a decade-long partnership

Having worked together since 2015, this upcoming deployment reinforces the strength of Ticketer and Lynx‘s longstanding partnership and their shared commitment to enhancing travel in the region.

By upgrading its entire fleet to the TK300 driver console and Tap Off Readers (TOR), thereby launching Ticketer Tap On / Tap Off capabilities to passengers, Lynx will benefit from enhanced real-time data, improved operational insight and a robust foundation to support evolving fare initiatives whilst removing barriers to travel.

Enhancing the passenger experience in Norfolk

Graham Smith, Commercial Manager at Lynx, comments: “The feedback we received from our staff with regards to the TK300 device we recently trialled was extremely positive, with drivers reporting that processing transactions, whether concessionary or contactless EMV, was lightning fast! QR code scanning of paper tickets and mobile tickets is also faster. The clarity and responsiveness of the tablet-based screen is also very impressive.

With this in mind, we’re very excited to roll these devices out onto our entire fleet of vehicles and we’re confident that, particularly when paired with Tap Off Readers, we’ll see significantly reduced dwell times at bus stops. Features such as the Traffic Light Priority (TLP) module within Ticketer which gives us priority at several traffic light sites within King’s Lynn are helping to reduce journey times, even in today’s challenging traffic conditions.

We’ve used Ticketer from the outset and always found the products and the Ticketer Portal very easy to use, and constantly evolving. Support from Ticketer colleagues, when we need it, is always excellent and the investment in the new equipment was therefore an easy decision for us to make.”

Adam Toone, Chief Commercial and Operations Officer at Ticketer, adds: “It was fantastic to receive such overwhelmingly positive feedback from Lynx drivers following their TK300 trial. As intended, the speed, usability and power of the driver console made a clear impact on those using it, and we’re delighted that as a result, Lynx has decided to roll out the TK300 and Tap Off Readers fleet-wide.

This new phase of our journey together is a significant milestone, and we look forward to building on what has always been a strong, long-standing partnership.”
