Ticketer has been awarded the contract by Transport for Greater Manchester to provide ticketing and essential real-time information.
Transport for Greater Manchester recently announced that they have awarded Ticketer the contract to supply an integrated ticketing and real-time information solution for their franchised operations across the region.
Ticketer has been working closely with TfGM for over 5 years and this new contract will see Ticketer build on the partnership further.
As part of the implementation, operators will be amongst the first to experience Ticketer’s Next Generation Ticketing solution, connected to a smart vehicle communications gateway (the Ticketer Smart Gateway). This new ‘plug and play’ approach provides an ecosystem of connectivity for on-bus IT infrastructure, allowing operators to reduce the amount of hardware and SIMs on bus, as well as providing opportunities to reduce energy consumption through enhanced monitoring on electric vehicles.
Building on Ticketer Group’s proven expertise in providing real-time information, both in the UK and Nordics, operators will benefit from a rich, mature solution to complement the ticketing process. The RTI solution provides operators with increased functionality such as advanced disruption management, corridor management, on-bus inventory management, and advanced tracking amongst many other features to improve operator efficiency.

The Ticketer solution is due to start rolling out from 24 September 2023.
