UPDATE: Our portal release on 2019/10/13 addresses this issue. You no longer need the workarounds below.
Unfortunately a recent update to Chrome (Chrome version 77) has impacted our mapping provider.
The Tracking map can be slow to move around, and feel sluggish. Chrome updates itself automatically in general.
We are investigating all options to work around this issue, but can suggest the following mitigations in the meantime:
– defer updating Chrome beyond version 76 for a period, by not restarting it, if that is possible for you
– use an alternative browser such as Edge, but ideally Firefox, which has better performance.
– disable Hardware Acceleration in Chrome. This should should restore your performance, whilst allowing you to remain in Chrome. Instructions on how to do this can be found here.
