What is it….?
With the coupons feature, operators can simply, and easily, create and associate a detachable printed coupon for any purpose. From the Ticketer portal, operators can define the content of the coupon including text and logo as required. This coupon can then be associated with one or more services, one or more zones within a service, one or more tickets and a validity period within which the coupon would only be printed within.
The ability to target certain demographics in this way be an effective means of conveying a message to the travelling customer, for example, forthcoming changes to services, or fares. Or as a very attractive marketing proposition to local businesses, so if a local restaurant is offering free children’s meals, all child tickets could print a specific coupon for that particular establishment. Coupons can even be associated to non-printing tickets, so concessionary card holders need not miss out and those passengers could still be targeted with a coupon even if they do not normally expect a ticket to be printed.
And a recent enhancement allows the coupon to be only printed once per transaction, not on every ticket. So, should you have an informational coupon for example, this need only be printed once, not with every ticket should multiple tickets be purchased together.
All coupons issued are recorded in the back office so operators can keep a constant track of where and when coupons have been issued.
